![]() ![]() ![]() He basically did exactly what I told you to do with the PT and joining the scout sniper section, as well as also going to other schools offered and trying to take up any other opportunities that come your way. I didnt go to sniper school, but my brother who was in another company in the same battalion did. It wasnt, but once I passed it, company leadership trusted me to not fuck up at other schools. I was offered some BS hazmat school that was supposedly hard. I’d also recommend taking any other schools offered to you. Go to try outs for your scout sniper section and make the cut (again be a PT stud). Do this for about 8 months, and then start talking to the scout sniper section guys in your unit. Get to your unit, dont be a fuck up, but dont volunteer for any stupid duties either or they will always end up picking you for them later down the road. ![]() How can you be expected to perform as a sniper if you don't know basic scout shit? Also, go pick the snipers' brains any reasonable chance you get. If they say you're a good soldier, then I'll remember you. If they say you're a shitbag, you've lost my interest. Be in good standing with your first line leaders cuz that's who I'd ask when I wanna know about joe. Most importantly though, be disciplined & respectful. My advice, be a pt stud, stand out in the rucks, know your job well, & stand out when y'all go shooting. So just know that they do pay attention even if you don't think they are. & now that I'm in the section, I'm constantly vetting dudes to see who I would immediately disqualify if they ask & who I'd give a chance. It took over 2 years before the snipers took interest in me & that was after I had came back from a deployment. ![]()
